YEAR OF THE RAT (Feb 07 2008 - Jan 25 2009)
Hard to believe that there are people who actually wanted more rats around this dirty old city; but in keeping with a growing tradition, the St. Clair Superior Development Corporation again brought us artistically-rendered sculptures that represent the current year's Chinese Zodiac sign. And so, Cleveland has been blessed with 25 more of those creepy beasts.
Unlike last year, my husband and I were prepared for them, even awaiting their arrival to our humble hamlet. They went on display on June 7 and will be around until they take them away. (Sorry, I just can't find that date anywhere.) We went out on June 14 and 15 to view this year's offerings.
